To grow: I've actually only just started growing Globe Artichokes. I've always been a fan but never grew them because they take up a lot of space and are perennials which mean they grow back in the same spot year after year. This year I finally committed and they are looking beautiful.
To eat: try steaming them with some hardy herbs and lemon. Once they are cooked dip the leaves into a homemade mayo. An unbeatable starter/snack.
